Keeping Traditions Alive

Film by Caroline Wiseman

Keeping Traditions Alive: Lepquinm Gumilgit Gagoadim” highlights how a group of people can still practice their heritage cultures, languages, and ceremonies away from their ancestral lands. This Tsimshian Dance group hosted a Feast in Anchorage to celebrate their 20-year anniversary. The film highlights how the group came to be, explains elements of the Tsimshian way of life, and empowers multiple generations to accept and grow their roles in the community.
