Amtgard: Algorithms for Creating Opportunities

Amtgard: Algorithms for Creating Opportunities is a call to think critically about how people and cultures engage with the world—and how we document those ways of thinking. Through the lens of Amtgard, a vibrant Live Action Role Play (LARP) community, this short film explores themes of identity, creativity, and cultural expression. More than foam swords and spellcasting, Amtgard is a game of community—where old crafts are rekindled, personas are celebrated, and a safe space is forged for connection, empowerment, and collective storytelling.
