Walk with Me by Mazelle Joseph

This film was made by Mazelle Joseph from Juneau as part of Alaska Youth for Environmental Action (AYEA)’s 2025 youth film project exploring personal stories of place, hope, and climate action. At the 2025 Alaska Youth for Environmental Action (AYEA) Youth Organizer Summit, 25 teen leaders from across Alaska gathered to explore climate and storytelling, learning how to share their personal connections to the lands and waters they love through film.

See Stories collaborated with AYEA for this summit, and helped each youth create a short film that highlights the beauty of their home communities, the urgency of climate change, and the power of young voices to inspire action and hope. These films celebrate the deep connections Alaska’s youth hold with their environment — from tundra to coastline, mountains to riverbanks — and remind us what’s at stake as the climate crisis accelerates.
