Great Southeast Alaska Fishing
Hunter spends half of each year in Yakutat, working with his sister and parents on their family fishing charter business “Bottom to Top Charters.” In this film, through a father to son conversation, Hunter takes a deep dive into the life of his father, Bill, and learns about the family business.
This film was produced during through See Stories 2024-2025 Youth Media Internship in Yakutat, made possible with funding provided by the National Park Service, the Alaska Mental Health Trust, and the Alaska State Council on the Arts.
Workshop Info
During the Summer of 2024, See Stories partnered with Fathoms Alaska to support 3 youth in See Stories' first ever wilderness-based Media Internship. Youth learned media skills, and filmed outside, while learning wilderness and canoe skills from Fathoms. Interns completed the editing and final production of their films during the 2024-2025 school year.
