Cody Page: Anchorage Made Me Strong
Cody Page is a recent West Anchorage High School graduate, a rising basketball videographer, and an electrician in the making. In this deeply personal story, first shared at Tikahtnu Upper Cook Inlet National Heritage Day with the Alaska Humanities Forum, Cody reflects on his journey from homelessness in Las Vegas to finding belonging, purpose, and creative passion in Anchorage.
He shares how picking up a camera for the first time opened a path he never expected and how the Anchorage community helped him rebuild his confidence, identity, and dreams.
Cody says it best: “It’s important for me to share my experience and story as a man, since we are taught to keep our hard stories quiet.”
Here is his story.
