See Stories Live 2026 Returns to Juneau This June

On June 2, See Stories Live returns to Juneau for our second annual community film festival and fundraiser, bringing together youth filmmakers, families, artists, educators, and community members for an evening centered around storytelling and connection.
From 6:30–8:30 PM, the historic Aurora Grand Theater will be filled with student-created films, community conversation, a silent auction, and support for youth storytelling programs across Alaska. We honestly could not imagine a better place for this event to take place. The Aurora Grand Theatre has generously donated the space as an in-kind contribution, and we are deeply grateful for their support of youth voices and community storytelling.
This year’s event intentionally takes place the evening before Celebration begins in Juneau. With so many people traveling into town for Celebration, we wanted to create an event that feels connected to the spirit of the week; community, culture, creativity, and the sharing of stories that matter.
One of the most meaningful parts of See Stories Live is that audiences will not only watch youth-created films, but will also have the opportunity to hear directly from some of the young filmmakers themselves. These stories reflect real experiences, perspectives, and communities from across Alaska and create space for conversations around identity, belonging, environment, culture, and community wellbeing.
We are also incredibly thankful for the support of top donors KTOO and The Nature Conservancy, whose partnership helps make this event possible and supports the continued growth of youth storytelling opportunities in Alaska.
This event is designed to feel accessible and community-centered, which is why we continue to offer our “pay what you can” ticket model.
Opening Credits: $20, A simple way to attend and support youth storytelling programs.
Scene Stealer: $50, Helps expand opportunities for student filmmakers and supports future programming.
Executive Producer: $100, Provides deeper support for youth media education, storytelling workshops, and future community programming.
No matter the level, every ticket directly supports youth storytelling and creative education opportunities across Alaska.
And yes, the silent auction lineup this year is honestly incredible.
Auction items include:
- TEMSCO helicopter tours
- Whale watching tour tickets from Gastineau Guiding
- Family and headshot photography sessions from Tidalbound
- Pet portraits by Nathan Kelley
- Local art prints
- Handmade earrings and leather goods from local artists
- Barnacle Foods products
- Devil’s Club Brewing items
- And many more still being added
Some silent auction items will be available online, while select items will be available exclusively to attendees at the event.
We highly encourage grabbing tickets early. Ticket holders will receive updates when the online silent auction goes live, along with additional event information leading up to the screening. Those attending in person will also have access to exclusive auction items not available online.
We truly believe this is going to be a special night for Juneau and a meaningful way to kick off Celebration week. We hope you’ll join us.
